Hanergy Thin Film Power (HK.00566) and its Chairman of the Board LI Hejun in the plight of the stock suspension received a ray of sunshine in haze on 19 October. On this day, the first “National Public Entrepreneurial Innovation Week” was held in Beijing. Hanergy as one of the exhibitors did not expect that the Prime Minister LI Keqiang said in front of Hanergy booth: “Well done, I wish you success!”
For Hanergy, this was an exciting moment. A few months ago, on 20 May, within one hour, LI Hejun fall from the mainland’s richest man (worth 160 billion yuan) position, the stock plunged 47%. Hanergy members called this the “520 incident”.
After this, Hanergy applied for the stock suspension, and then the situation became SFC ordered Hanergy to suspend. The main reason of SFC was the lack of transparency of Hanergy financial information.
After the suspension, LI Hejun has been very strangely in silence. Until 4 months later on 29 September taking the occasion of the company’s 21 anniversary, he made an ‘internal speech’ saying Hanergy shall transform itself, shall learn from the market, and get close to the market.

During the event, Hanergy exhibited a whole-solar-powered car called “Hanergy SolarPower”.

According to Hanergy’s official website, the car body design can perfectly integrate the thin-film solar chips and the car’s streamlined shape, making the car use directly solar power like chlorophyll without any carbon dioxide emission. This is the ultimate form of energy use of our humanity.
“Hanergy SolarPower” also integrates autopilot, mobile internet convergence of vehicle and traffic conditions. It gives also a projection of how a car can be more than a vehicle in the future society, of how the humanity can achieve the maxim travel freedom, of how the space in car can be the “third living space” of our humankind. It combined also with lightweight technology to optimize the maxim usage of solar energy. With intelligent autopilot service, it will be allowed to reach the destination quickly and easily.
There are thin-film solar chips on the front part, top and tail of the car. The front part can be also extended to expand the use of solar cell area. The maxim effective area can reach 6m2. With solar energy obtained in a year, the car can travel 15000km, satisfying 50% of a family’s trips demand. It can also use conventional electric car charging to achieve maximum mileage of 350km.
The car has two electric motors to transmit the power to the rear axle. Its integrated power output can up to 160kW with peak torque of 400Nm, and a hundred kilometers acceleration time of 5.8 seconds. The top speed in case of electronic limitation can up to 200km/hr.
What is “Mobile Energy +”?
Since the end of September that LI Hejun made his speech, “Mobile Energy+” has been repeatedly mentioned. What is “Mobile Energy+”? Until now, the first “+” is civilian application.

What appeared together with “Hanergy SolarPower” was Hanergy Solar UAV. This UAV uses Hanergy advanced thin-film solar technology, can be used mainly for many fields like emergency rescue, petroleum and petrochemical pipeline transmission line/power line/forestry inspection and maintenance. It can provide a one-stop UAV solution for users. Traditional electric UAV can fly for a very short time, cannot meet the needs to achieve many tasks. It is said that Hanergy solar UAV can have 6 hours flight time, more than the 1.5 hours of conventional UAV. Its performance indicators have reached the international advanced level.

During the event, Hanergy also exhibited a number of other innovative products. Among them, solar stricken tents, solar dust-free chimney, solar “oil-scavenger” and other innovations from “Hanergy Global Thin-Film Award” competition also attracted the attention of visitors.
When Hanergy was still immersed in the joy of the visit of the Prime Minister, the Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central, Vice Prime Minister ZHANG Gaoli also came to Hanergy booth in the afternoon. After he saw the “Hanergy SolarPower” and Hanergy UAV, he said that Hanergy mobile energy is “incredible”, and encouraged Hanergy to keep developing mobile energy.
